Kidnap Victims Rescued by Nigerian Army in Kwara State

Troops of the Nigerian Army under the Joint Task Force North Central Operation SAVANNAH SHIELD have rescued two kidnapped victims in Kwara State, the military announced on Saturday, June 6.
According to a statement on its X handle, the rescue took place on June 3 during an aggressive fighting patrol along the Gidan Dogo Ekaa axis. The troops encountered the victims who had escaped from their captors.
The rescued individuals were identified as Mr Temitope Samuel, 42, and Mr Mohammed Sani, 40. They were taken to Patrol Base Babanla where they received medical care and psychological support.
The military said arrangements are underway to reunite the victims with their families. The operation was part of efforts to clear the North Central region of criminal elements.
